Career Trajectory

My career trajectory started since nursing school after I started working as a Nurse Extern, transitioned as a StaRN resident and became an emergency nurse. My dream is to pursue higher education to someday become a DNP. My passion is to gain the knowledge to understand conditions and diseases better to provide optimal care for my patients.

Five Year Career Plan

My Career Trajectory as an RN

Nurse Extern

During my studies in Nursing I was offered a job position as a Nurse Extern after a clinical in the Emergency Department, This position allowed me to learn more about the ER and taught me a lot of useful skills (EKG, blood drawing, patient care, team work and codes blue).

StaRN Resident

During the StaRN residency program I was able to get trauma and critical care training. I learned about critical drips, emergency protocols (sepsis, stroke, STEMI, etc). I was able to learn about new interventions such as splints, wound care, stabilization procedures, etc.

Emergency RN

Currently I am an emergency RN and care for my patients in different areas of the ER such as Triage, Care-Path and the Main floor. I am able to work with different levels of acuity and do the necessary interventions to help my patients become stable.

DNP

My next goal is to pursue a DNP degree to become more prepared and able to provide better care for my patients. My passion is to be a knowledgeable advanced health care provider who can understand conditions and diseases at a deeper level.
